Your Stanhope Community Warden
Hello everybody, my name is Peter Beasley and I am your Kent County Council Community Warden for the Parish of Stanhope. I have been on area since 2015 and have already spoken to many of you during my walkabouts since then.
I would, however like to give you an insight into some of the activities and services that I get involved with on a daily basis, and how I can be of assistance to you, the Community.
My role as a Community Warden is to provide a visible uniformed presence on the ground, I will identify anything I see that needs attention and do all that I can to rectify the problem; this could be anything from rubbish on the streets to vandalism and offensive graffiti. I am based in Stanhope Library and work a 37 hour week with varying shifts that reflect the needs of the community. I may also be found or contacted at the Stanhope Centre in Otterden Close.
I work very closely with many of the agencies that work in the area, for example Moat’s Housing Officers, Social Services, Environmental Services, Education and the Police. I may be able to provide useful contact information for these Agencies as well. I regularly attend the Monthly Parish Council meetings and Quarterly Tenants Forums at the Parish Rooms as well as the local PACT Meetings, I will always try to support any initiatives that benefit the community and attend local Groups that meet here.
